storm chase
Red Bull Storm Chase
November 1st 2006: 22 windsurfers in 9 countries, more than 50 cameras, jet skis, a helicopter and 100 people are ready to chase "Britta", the storm of the year with winds up to 70 knotes. Their misson: filming the worldÕs most extreme windsurfing event ever...

Wild Tracks
“9 cars, 2 jet skis, 11 riders and 36 boards hit the roads of Western Australia for the ultimate windsurfing adventure. 21 days and 6000 kilometres later, they have scored perfect conditions at almost every spot a windsurfer would come to Western Australia for” I must admit, the first couple of times I watched this video, I was nonplussed. The action and film-making were decent, but not incredible. The narration seemed a bit Warren Milleresque and cheesy, and most of the music was a bit on the uninspired side...

wild birds
Wild Birds
Wild Birds, a brand new DVD by Frank Borghstijn, is a slick, entertaining, and high quality video that should be in every windsurfer’s library. Labelled a “windsurfing documentary”, Wild Birds features recently shot footage in Maui, Bonaire, Western Australia, and Europe. The DVD hops back and forth a bit from location to location without losing its visual appeal...

spam dvd
S.P.A.M.
SPAM showcases some of the Tour’s top sailors and locations. Gran Canaria and Maui are prominently featured as are other hotspots such as Sylt, Klitmoeller, and Capetown. Much of the video is the result of the efforts of pro sailor, Robert Sand. Perhaps a slightly less well known sailor on the tour, he is nevertheless a highly capable sailor behind and in front of the camera lens. Overall the video is visually exciting, though it lacks some of the polish and flow of other videos that have been released over the last couple of years. Still, it is very watch able and entertaining...

These men are Pio Marasco (Maui Fin Company), Francisco Goya (Goya Boards+Sails), Keith Teboul and Lalo Goya (both of Quatro Boards). Besides an in-depth look into their work and lives as dedicated shaper, designer, manager and enthusiastic windsurfer, the 37 minute long documentary...

Wet and Salty
Read about the latest freestyle Windsurfing DVD "Wet and Salty", produced and directed by Sebastian Dorr and Andre Paskowski, that offers a fresh and exciting take on the current state of windsurfing. The two DVD set includes over 200 minutes of lifestyle, action, instruction, and 2005 PWA freestyle footage. While the video content is heavily freestyle biased, there is something for nearly everyone in this DVD set. Curious to know what new moves the freestyle freaks are busting out?
